At Cesar Chavez, chronic absenteeism has fallen 50% over the 5-year window — from 1.0% in 2017 to 0.5% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 27.0% below in 2017 to 27.5% below in 2020.
